S.V.M. Inter College Govind Nagar, Kanpur is based upon the principles and intellect of the Maha Purshas and inspiration of the Patriots. The Institute provides education in science stream upto Intermediate level.

This school was upgraded from Shishu Mandir to Vidya Mandir in the year 1978-79. The new building came up in 1984-85. At present it is running in a three stroreyed building. The school is taking the shape of the wishes of the intellectuals of the city.
